Regular Monthly Programs

Hooked On Yarn
Tuesday, January 6, February 3, March 3, and April 7
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
We will be making scarves to jazz up our winter wardrobe. Bring your own hook and yarn or use the Library’s.

Pizza & Paperbacks
Tuesdays, January 13, February 10,  March 10, and April 14
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Let’s eat pizza and talk about books.

Calling All Teens!
Tuesdays, January 20, February 17, March 17, and April 21
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Are you looking for a volunteer project to put on your college applications? Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Come volunteer some time and have fun too. Possible projects are choosing programs for the spring, creating publicity for programs, updating the Teen Scene on the Library’s web site and decorating the Teen Scene area.

Gaming Tuesdays
January 27, February 24, March 24, April 28
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Do you like to play Dance, Dance, Revolution, Rock Band  or other video games and want to play with others kids?  The Library has an Xbox and an Xbox 360 if you want to bring your own games. Come to the Library to play and hang out with your friends.

Thursday Night At The Movies

Duct Tape Art
Monday, January 26
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Use duct tape to make wallets, handbags, and other wearable art.

American Red Cross Babysitting Class
Saturdays, March 14 and March 21
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  This class is opened to students 11 or older who would like to become an American Red Cross certified babysitter. The cost is $35.00 which is payable at registration. Please make checks payable to the American Red Cross. Bring a bagged lunch and drinks will be provided.

Candy Making
Tuesday, March 31
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  Do you like chocolate covered pretzles? Check out the Library to make your own delicious treats. Yum!

 

These programs are opened to all middle and high school aged students. To be sure that we have enough supplies for everyone, please register for these programs by calling the Library at 856-845-5593 or emailing Mrs. Murphy at carolmurphy@westdeptford.lib.nj.us. Through the generosity of the West Deptford Schools, the Library has the middle school text books available for your convenience. They are located in the teen area. Just ask any of our staff and they will direct you to the collection.
